At the request of the Municipality of McDougall, GNOAC has applied for the rezoning of a small portion of the club lands. This includes the stadium area where the existing Chalet and Garage are located. The application seeks to more properly rezone the current “Rural” designation into “Open Space”. The rezoning is required by the Municipality in order to facilitate any building permit on the property. This re-zoning will not affect our ability to run our core facilities as an Outdoor Recreation Centre; in fact, it is entirely a more appropriate zone, reflective of how the area is currently used.
