Please consider donating to the Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Centre.  Our club is mostly run on donations, membership fees and a team of amazing volunteers.

You’ve probably heard of our Jackrabbit program: last winter, it drew more than 120 kids guided by a volunteer team of 35 coaches. Generations have discovered the joy of cross-country skiing in our breathtaking Georgian Bay forest through Jackrabbits.

Jackrabbits is one of the few organized options for parents in winter. We want to grow this program and our other offerings, and add new ones (along with new trails for all ages to explore on skis, snowshoes and bikes). But we need your help to do it.

You see, in order for as many people as possible to enjoy the Centre’s programs, we need to keep our fees low. That means keeping a tight grip on costs, which we do by relying on a core of big-hearted volunteers to do everything from coach kids to groom trails.

But at the same time, prices for nearly everything are on the rise. At the Centre, we’re forced to pay more for everything from fuel to parts to maintain our grooming equipment.

We greatly appreciate your generosity.  Thank you!

We set-up a secure PayPal account to receive your kind donations.  You will receive a donation receipt in the mail for donations greater than $20. Simply click on the link on the left and you will be redirected to type in an amount you wish you donate.  Thank you.

Get Outdoors Parry Sound MembersWe’re always looking for ways to improve the winter-cycling trails—and your experience at the club.To that end, we have great news: GOPS has pre-purchased a Tundra snowmobile—a nimble machine perfect for the tight confines of our fat bike trails. It has already demonstrated its ability to help our volunteers quickly get the trails ready for riding after a snowfall and open new trails.  We had to purchase one quickly due to equipment failure and repetitive borrowing of friends’ sleds. And now, we need your help. Our membership fees cover certain aspects of fat bike trail maintenance but not the cost of winter grooming, including replacing and maintaining equipment. With that in mind, we’re asking you to help us support the purchase of the new machine with a donation.  Georgian Nordic has agreed to own the sled on our behalf and through that relationship, receive donations and issue receipts for the care and feeding of the machine.Beyond Georgian Nordic trails, we are hopeful that this sled will let us explore occasional grooming around the community (what do you think about a Killbear Park fondo?).We’re asking for your financial contribution to achieve the following:Purchase of the Tundra and coverage of all insurance/licensing requirements.Purchase of a trailer for mobility.Cover annual operating costs.Donations can be made by clicking on the “Donate Button” (to the right or below) Please leave a NOTE in the PayPal form that this donation is for the Fatbike Grooming Equipment.  All donors will receive a tax receipt. Thank you in advance for your support.
